    Good afternoon,

I have been running my website with the Hueman Theme for some time and everything worked quite well. I really appreciate your work, as the Theme looks really nice and quite convenient for my use. I am using the current version of the Theme.

However, since today the header image disappeared of the site and there is no chance of getting it back. When I go to the Customizer and select a header image, it also isn’t displayed in the preview area.

I already deactivated the Caching Plugin (WP Fastest Cache) and emptied all possible caches. This didn’t help in any way.

Please let me know, what else can be done.

Thank you very much for your support!

    Cheers,
    Andreas

    Hi,

it looks as if the issue was created by a plugin (Autoptimize). I deactivated the plugin and now the header image is displayed again. Probably I need to look for another plugin to resolve the issue completely. Strange, as Hueman Theme and Autoptimize worked perfectly together for quite a time and I didn’t change any of the preferences.

    Cheers,
    Andreas

Could be due to CSS or JS optimization, try to identify which one by disabling (and re-enabling) CSS optimization and then JS optimization. once you know that you’ll have to look into which CSS- or JS-file to exclude from optimization to fix.

AO’s FAQ has more info on troubleshooting and how to exclude.

    hope this helps,

    Hi,

Unfortunately, I had to unresolve this issue. After deactivating Autoptimize I found out that the header image is only displayed in the desktop version of my website. It still doesn‘t work for the mobile version, which I checked with two different iPads (iPad Pro 11“ and iPad Mini). In the Customizer the header images are being displayed correctly for Desktop, Tablet and Smartphone versions. Also when I temporarily use other apps on my iPad and the come back to the web browser, the header image is displayed correctly. When I then click on the header image, the homepage is reloaded again without header image. All caching plugins are deactivated for the time being.
    I kindly ask for advice.
    Thanks,
    Andreas

The issue, in fact, might be due to a conflicting plugin.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

you were right, of course ?? Mea culpa maxima! I didn’t deactivate all plugins, but only those that I considered to be responsible.

Finally, after deactivating EWWW Image Optimizer, everything worked. Therefore, I will get in touch with the developer and report the issue there. That means also that there is no issue with Autoptimize!

    Sorry for that!

All the best and thanks for your support,
    Andreas
