Header Column Quantity/ Width

Is there a way to adjust the number of columns in the header, or adjust the % each of them takes up? I’ve got a search bar in my header and it is only able to fill 1/3 of the header width, even when there’s nothing in the other two columns. This is not attractive, and is very hard to use on mobile.
