    Hi,

I’d like to add an image centered in the header and not plain. Could you please explain me how to do that ?

  • Hi, @marie999!

    Thanks for choosing Neve!

To add an image in the header, you have to go to Customizer -> Header -> Change Header Color -> Style and select the Image option under Row Background. Then, you can add the image you want by clicking on “Add Image”. The photo can be centered by dragging it with the mouse or by changing the “Left” and “Top” values. You can find an example here. Please note that this is a background image and in order to appear, at least one component needs to be added to that header row.

    I hope this helps!

Thank you and have a wonderful day!

    Hi Lucia,
Thank you for your answer but you did not get what I’d like (sorry, maybe I did not explain properly).

I do not want the whole image stretched ont the whole width page.
I’d like a smaller image centered with the same left and right paddings.

    Thank you for your help.

    Hi, @marie999!

Thanks for clarifying! To place an image in the header, firstly you have to copy that image’s URL from Media -> Library by clicking on the image and on “Copy URL to clipboard”, as you can see here. Then, go to Customizer -> Header and, on the middle row, add a HTML element. In the “General” section of that element please add the following line. <img src = "image-url-from-clipboard">
Please replace image-url-from-clipboard with the URL you copied earlier. The image can be centered by dragging the HTML element in the center of the row. You can find an example here.

Let me know how this worked!

    Have a nice day!

    Sorry, but I can’t find :
    – “add a HTML element”
    – “general” section

Can you explain more precisely please ?

Sure @marie999, I will add more screenshots so it will be easier to follow.

After you go to Customizer -> Header, you have to hover on the middle row and there will appear a “+” button that you have to click on – screenshot. Then you have to select “HTML” – screenshot and a HTML element will appear on that row. After that you should be able to see a section called “General” on the left sidebar where you can add the code provided above – screenshot. You can center the image by dragging the HTML element in the middle of that row it appeared on – screenshot.

I hope it is more clear now!

    Have a wonderful day!
