    Hi, I’m using Twenty Twenty and Options (page editor Elementor). Even though i select “transparent header” box, the header remains a solid white background…. Also how can I reduce the size of both the header and footers? I’ve used all the sliders in Options to minimum setting on everything, but both still are huge massive white boxes using lots of page real estate.

    Would it be better to deactive Elementor and use the Twenty Twenty theme right sidebar panel?? (I’ve read about this in few threads, amongst the tons of threads I’ve been searching and reading for help with this theme, various plugins to help w header footer size in Twenty Twenty, pro version Elementor, etc)
    TIA for help

    Hello,

    Please provide a link to your website so we can see why your header isn’t transparent and your header / footers are still large.

    If this is not possible, please confirm if deactivating your plugins resolves the issues. Please also confirm if you are running the original theme or if you have modified the theme at all?

    Thank you,

    Oliver

    Hi Oliver,
    Good news- header now transparent! Sizing footer width & area is still issue (& if our team does not wish a transparent header, then header sizing is issue). Perhaps overnight platform refreshes helped clear up transparency issue- I’m a newbie.

    I’m running a child theme of Twenty Twenty (used plugin: Child Theme Configurator). I deactivated Elementor & Twentig plugin I was testing to get site back to baseline. (To create an ElementorPro template is more complicated & time needed than I have).

    In Options plugin, settings on sliders are set to minimum padding. I’ve tried adding CSS code for margin and paddings, copied from threads in forum, but these CSS mods do not affect the header /footer size. https://dev.castlerock.coloradodar.org/ Also, am using the field “powered by WP” for our copyright statement, and need to reduce its font size way down; suggestions how-to?
    Thanks for your help!

    OK, so that’s good news with regards to the header transparency. If the header sizing becomes a problem then let us know and we will look into it.

    Although Child Themes are supported, we created this plugin specifically so as not to require a child theme to modify the theme. Using a child theme means that future releases of the parent theme may not be compatible with your child theme. Furthermore, if you make changes to the child theme (or parent theme) that impact on the hooks, classes, structure, etc of the theme that our plugin uses for the various options then you run the risk of these features not working.

    With regards to third party plugins and compatibility with the Twenty Twenty theme, you will need to speak to the relevant developers about those issues.

    Can you please be very specific with regards to what you are trying to achieve on your site’s footer? It may be that we can create a new option for you to handle this.

    To change the font size of the “Powered by WordPress” area you can add this CSS into “Customizer – Additional CSS” …

    .powered-by-wordpress {
    font-size: 1.5rem;
    }

    Hope this helps, if so we will add an option to change the size of this font.

    That’s good news thanks. Will look to add this as an option in the plugin and will update this thread accordingly.
