header background image Height and Width

    Hi I can’t believe I couldn’t find this anywhere, probably right under my nose. What is the optimal height and width for the header background image, or at least the correct proportions with the default stylesheet?

  • In Customizer > Header Banner it says:

    Your theme works best with an image with a header size of 1000 × 250 pixels — you’ll be able to crop your image once you upload it for a perfect fit.

    Hello, yes thanks for the reply, actually what helped me was changing the background-size attribute in this rule:

    #page-sub-header {
    background-size: 100% !important;

    }
