Header and title, tracking stats.

If I add standard HTML with a URL link to my home page inside the header
Is there a shortcode that can be entered that will generate a read or click action which is recorded within that Newsletter statistics.

Question : Do i need to create my own Shortcode to obtain the extra stats?
And if the answer is yes, create your own shortcode.
Would you concider this as a feature request for this to make avaible in a future release.

FYI: I have the code contained in “hook-to-add-your-own-shortcode”
