Maybe this can help.
On the second page your menu-items are stil there, but you can’t see them because they are white.
If you have to many menu-items you get a second row, but not in the coloured space of the menu. It’s better to make sub-items:
If you go to Appearance; choose Menu’s
on the left you have a list with your pages behind the tab ‘most recent’
on the right you see ‘menu structure’ (maybe an other name because I have the Dutch version)
You have menu-items and you can make sub-items by moving the items a little bit to the right. Place them under the main menu-item. Save, and ready.
The left aligned items you see in the menu,the-little-bit-to-the-right-items appear when you hover over the menu.
