• I currently updated some plugins on my site and now have completely lost my header and footer and have not been able to retrieve them since.

The website I am referring to is https://www.boxedinn.com.

Has anyone else had this problem or does anyone know how to fix this? I have gone through style sheets etc and do not see where the problem is at all.

Any information and help would be very helpful at this time as this part of my site has been down for about two weeks now.

-try deactivating ALL plugins temporarily to narrow down the problem. If the problem goes away, activate them individually (one-by-one) to find the problematic plugin.

I have tried deactivating each plug in one by one and after doing so it actually completely shut my whole site down and I was not able to get it back without support from an IT. Any other suggestions?

Suggestions of where I can go and what I can do to get my header and footer back.

As Thesis is a commercial Theme, you will need to consult the support offerings of the developer, DIY Themes.

    What version are you using?

I noticed that the footer of my custom home page disappeared. Spent a few hours but couldn’t figure it out why. It occured to me that I just upgrated to WordPress 3.3.2.

Reinstalled WordPress 3.3.1 on my local server. The footer re-appeared.

it appears there’s a bug in the new version.

Lost my head(er) too after upgrading to WP 3.3.2 today. Just FYI. Running Thesis too. I will look for support over there at DIY Themes.

Ok, there is a solution (it worked for me at least):

Go to WordPress => Thesis => Thesis Hooks
    Select thesis_hook_header
Check the option “Process PHP on this hook? (Your code must be wrapped in ‘<?php ?>’ tags)”, even if the field above it is empty.
    Save

    It should work now.

One thing i noticed is it all works with WordPress 3.3.2 if i use IE 9. The footer goes away if I use Firefox or Chrome (both up to date).
Again it happens only to my custom homepage that I built from ground up.
I am not using Thesis but a Theme called Atlas.

I applied Melanie’s solution to no avail.

    Anyone has a clue?

What does this code actually look like?
I was trying to put “Redeeming Dream” on mine.
    So i entered
    <?Redeeming Dreams?>
“((Your code must be wrapped in ‘<?php ?>’ tags)”)”

    What should I do differently?
    It’s for my https://redeemingdreams.com/
    Thank you WP friends!
