    Hi,
My install: WP v4.1.1, Hueman v2.2.2, No other plugins activated yet except the recommended ones from the theme (WP-PageNavi and Responsive Lightbox).

The problem is, even when I select to show ‘header ads’ in theme options — header panel, the ‘header ads’ sidebar widget didn’t show up in ‘appearance — widgets’ page. Just blank other than Primary and Secondary. It seems that the ‘header-ads’ sidebar failed to register.

Any idea what went wrong? Thank you in advance.

  • Hi prsetiadi. That seems a bit odd. Have you tried reinstalling the theme?

@bdbrown, yes that’s odd. I’ve tried to reinstall back and forth but it’s the same. By the way, it didn’t happen in hueman v2.2.0 — header-ads sidebar works fine. It just happened after I upgrade it to v2.2.2.

In v2.2.2, I can’t even create the custom sidebar options normally — creating sidebars can be saved, but the sidebar created didn’t show up in widget panel.

What about the Footer Ads and the Footer Widget Columns? Do those show up in the Widgets panel if you enable them? Are you having issues with any other theme options?

I use Hueman theme on some of my sites and until now there is no problem. https://www.heatedthrowblanketbuy.com

@affiliatesukses80 – The site you linked is not running the Hueman theme and is not relevant to the topic. If you have a site running Hueman that is relevant to the topic please post it instead.

    @bdbrown,
That’s what I’m talking about — the footer ads widget also won’t show up in the widget panel. The footer widgets (bottom) alone are fine. Unfortunately I can’t show it to you ‘cos I still work it aroung on my local installment to find a solution before it goes live.

@prsetiadi Can you give me a link to a screenshot of your site.Thanks.

@prsetiadi Have you clicked on the save in the theme options, if not then try doing it. I had the same issue after an recent update.

OK, don’t be offended by this question but, after you set Header Ads or Footer Ads ON, did you Save Changes on that screen? There is a single theme function that registers the sidebars and it does them all if the options are “ON”. It sounds like the updates aren’t getting passed to the database for some reason.

@bdbrown: I can not say anything but to appologize for the trouble I’ve made. After a few hours observing, finally I found what makes all the custom widgets not showing on widgets panel. It’s the ‘ads block plus’ plugin on my browser (both ff and chrome). When I disable the browser plugin, all works fine. Again, thanks so much for the help.

Hey, no apologies needed. Glad you got it figured out. That browser add-in is related to many issues that don’t seem to have a solution. Once disabled, everything is fine.

    Hey prsetiadi,
Your thread helped me out today for the same problem with hueman.

    Yes prsetiadi
That would have taken me hours to figure out.

Today i started discussion with “Adblock” team.
You can resolve this issue by reading that discussion on this link:
    Some Widgets Areas Blocked

Hey, i have same problem (turned off adblock for my website to use those 2 sidebars).

I was wondering maybe the author of this theme could change the nameing of those 2 sidebars ?
I use “footer ads” sidebar to display some random posts and a responsive adsense advert. Sadly adblock blocks both the “random posts” section and the advert. And one more thing. It seems it doesn’t use the widget title i set in these sidebars, for example: i want to set as title for advert “Advertisement”. I am planning on making my website eligible for “acceptable ads” option offered by adblock.
If needed i can provide link to website. Well you can guess it from my avatar ?? Thanks.
