Head code not being added?

Hi Jamie,

You are using a cache plugin that adds every inline JS code into this cached JS file:
https://www.cookbakeeat.com/wp-content/cache/autoptimize/js/autoptimize_c0dd417f23362460c0e706f450364625.js

This includes the GTM code that should be in the head.
Please check the settings of this cache plugin and disable caching of inline JS codes.

Thanks for replying.

Hmmm, that is strange as my Universal Analytics code isn’t being added to the cached JS file but the Tag manager code is.

I’ve disabled adding inline JS to the file now and the tag manager code is showing in the head but the tag still isn’t showing up in tag assistant.

What could be causing that now the code is visible in the source code?

I’ve cleared all caches.

I can see several JavaScript errors in the console of my Chrome:

The GTM container code clearly starts to load but fails to complete loading because the browser stops several processes.

I turned off the setting for “Proxy Scripts” (Capture external scripts and load the scripts through a caching proxy.)

It seems to be working now, thanks Thomas.
