    Hi,

HCaptcha is not showing on WordPress lost password form.

And when you submit the form, it displays an error message requesting to complete the hCaptcha.

    Please check this screenshot https://i.imgur.com/DSpQOWO.png

Looking forward to your reply. Thank you in advance for your help.

    My best regards,

It works, actually. You may have some plugins installed which modify the form. Could you try to deactivate all plugins except hCaptcha, one by one, and change theme to a standard one? This may help finding the culprit.

Also, could you share the link to the page with the issue?

    Thanks.

    Hi @kaggdesign,

    Thank you for your reply.

I figured out the cause of the issue: I’m using Perfmatters and enabled the custom login URL for the back office. Meaning the admin panel is accessible through https://my-domain/<custom-login-url>/ instead of https://my-domain/wp-admin/.

When I disable the custom login URL, it works.

So your plugin does not fully support the custom login URL. Please note that hCaptcha is working fine in the login page even with the custom login URL enabled.

Hope this helps in identifying the issue.

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Have a nice day!

We do not support this premium plugin (Perfmatters) so far. Can you share zip file with the plugin on my email [email protected] for testing?

    Thank you.

Something is wrong. I do not see an email in the Inbox or Spam folders. Could you check? Thanks.

Yes, you are right, I received an error, I couldn’t send the zip file. I’m working on fixing it. I’ll let you know.

Gmail prohibits sending of zip files. You can upload zip on the Google Drive and share the link.

This is exactly what happened. And this is what I did. Please check your email.

Thank you, I have installed the plugin and see the issue. Will let you know.

I have added compatibility with the Perfmatters plugin. You can download?hCaptcha 4.11.0-RC8. Please confirm if it works for you.

    Thank you.

Thank you for your quick reply.

When installing the plugin, I couldn’t activate it, I’m getting “Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a?fatal error.”

    (@joe16)

Shouldn’t the zip file be named hcaptcha-for-forms-and-more.4.11.0-RC8.zip instead of hcaptcha-for-forms-and-more-4.11.0-RC8.zip?

It is an RC build, a bit different from a standard one. You must deactivate the 4.10.0 plugin first, delete everything from the hcaptcha-for-forms-and-more folder, and copy the zip content to this folder. Then you should re-activate the plugin.

    I apologize for the inconvenience.

Thank you for the detailed steps. That helped me.

It works! I appreciate your responsive support!

    1. Using the RC build won’t cause any issue with future plugin updates? Meaning, will I be able to update the plugin smoothly as usual without copying files manually (the steps you have mentioned)?
    2. I’m a bit confused regarding the “Force hCaptcha” toggle option. I don’t see the difference between enabling and disabling this option, as the hCaptcha is always needed to submit the form, otherwise we get an error asking to complete the captcha. Could you please clarify?
    3. Please check this screenshot. I’m noticing that the “Hide Login Errors” option does not work on the WordPress lost password form. Shouldn’t be the case? I don’t know if it is even useful, I’m just sharing my thoughts out loud. Please tell me what do you think.

    4. I’m using the hCaptcha plugin only for the WordPress back office login page and back office lost password pages. Is there a way to prevent all hCaptcha resources (styling and JS if any) to be loaded in the front office (as they are not needed)?
