    Hello there,
I am using WPForms Lite because it is said to be very easy to use. Unfortunately I am having trouble with the hCaptcha. It simply doesn’t appear.
It is definately active since I can see the badge in the fields section. Clicking on hCaptcha in the standard fields section only deactivates it. Shouldn’t I be able to place a field within my form? Or is it automatically placed invisibly above the send-button?
When testing my form, I get an error message for a required field but there is no “field”. When inspecting with developer tool there seems to be the hCaptcha but hidden? I am only a designer, so I don’t really know what this means – I can only see there should be the hCaptcha:

    <input type=”text” name=”g-recaptcha-hidden” class=”wpforms-recaptcha-hidden wpforms-error” style=”position:absolute!important;clip:rect(0,0,0,0)!important;height:1px!important;width:1px!important;border:0!important;overflow:hidden!important;padding:0!important;margin:0!important;” required>

I tried to find answers here in the forum, but with no success. Would be extremley grateful for help ??

    Regards, Alice

  • Hey @t_girl – When you have some time, can you please share the page URL where the form is embedded so I can take a closer look?

    Hi Prashant,

    her’s a test page I have set up: https://dev.annie-heuser-schule.de/kontakt-test/

    Thanks very much for checking!

    Regards,
    alice

Hey @t_girl – Thanks for sharing the URL. I was able to replicate the issue with Captcha not showing up. I took a closer look and in the browser console, I observed Refused to load the script 'https://hcaptcha.com/1/api.js?onload=wpformsRecaptchaLoad&render=explicit' because it violates the following Content Security Policy directive: "script-src 'self' 'unsafe-eval' 'unsafe-inline' *.met.vgwort.de https://webinaris.co www.webinaris.co https://www.google.com/recaptcha/ https://www.gstatic.com/recaptcha/ https://js.stripe.com https://checkout.stripe.com". Note that 'script-src-elem' was not explicitly set, so 'script-src' is used as a fallback. error message.

Here’s a screenshot for quick reference.

In this case, I would suggest you please reach out to your hosting or domain control provider, and share the above error message and they should be able to assist you.

Please let me know how it goes!

    Kindly,

Hey @t_girl – We haven’t heard back from you in about five days, so I’m going to go ahead and close this thread for now. But if you’d like us to assist further, please feel welcome to continue the conversation.

    Thanks!

    Hey Prashant,

I was going to get back at you especially because you asked to know how it goes ,-)

Thanks to you I asked a more technical colleague to present your findings to the support of the host provider. The problem seems to be solved now but I was waiting for an answer so I could get back to you and report …

I have one more question actually (and in the meantime I might get an answer back from my colleague to how the problem was solved). I was wondering why the google recaptcha is mentioned in the browser console when I am actually only using the hCaptcha?

    Thanks, Alice

Hey @t_girl – Thanks for following this ticket, and we’re thrilled to hear that the issue is resolved now.

Regarding the Google reCAPTCHA in the console, I inspected the page you’ve shared, and I observed that there’s a reCAPTCHA script that’s getting loaded which seems to be coming from either the theme you’re using or a 3rd party plugin. Having said that, you would see wpforms-recaptcha-container wpforms-is-hcaptcha or similar tags, but we use that for the development purpose and are HTML tags, and won’t effect the form performance. In case you’ve noticed any issues doe to that, please let me know and I’ll share this with the developers.

    hey @prashantrai

thanks for explaining. I am (only) a designer and do not have much knowledge about these things. All I know is that I am trying to avoid Google and thus have chosen your plugin. I haven’t had any obvious issues with the tag you have mentioned above but like I said, I really don’t want any Google reCaptcha scripts to load in the background without me knowing it.

But I guess, it should be fine now. Thank you very much for looking into my topic!

    Regards,
    alice

Hey @t_girl – You’re most welcome, and if you have any questions, please feel free to reach out.

    Kindly,
