Having trouble with static page

My site is johnpender.net.
I changed the “home” page to “blog” in my header.php file and created a new page called “home”. The problem I’m having is that when I set my reading settings to “your latest posts” everything works great, but when I set my static page to the “home” page I created my “blog” tab points to my domain name, which takes me directly to my “home” page. I can’t access any of my posts except by using the archive drop-down or the categories drop-down.
