If you’re working in the sandbox any value for the CVV code will work fine.

You do not need an SSL to use Express Checkout, but you will need an SSL if you plan on using PayPal Pro.

The error that you’re getting is because you’re attempting to use Guest Checkout (credit card without logging in) but you’re using a credit card number that is associated with your PayPal sandbox account. As such, the system sees that, and it’s telling you that you should just log in to your account instead.

If you want to test credit cards directly you’ll need to use numbers that are not associated with any PayPal account at all. The best way to do that is to generate fresh test numbers using this site: https://www.getcreditcardnumbers.com/

Go ahead and generate a fresh number and then give it another shot and let me know how that works out for you.

Ohooooo! Awesome! Its really working now. Thanks for reply!

And for Live Payments what I needs to do? Is SSL essential (must) for live payments? Or I can do live (REAL) payments without SSL?

    Thanks. Waiting for your response!….@angelleye

    Glad to hear that’s working!

The SSL is only necessary for Payments Pro. You can do live payments without an SSL through Express Checkout.
