• Hi there. I’ve been blogging at wanderingjustin.wordpress.com and decided to go self-hosted at wanderingjustin.com. I wanted to migrate all my old posts so the new site wouldn’t look so barren. I followed the steps about exporting, saving to the desktop and uploading to the new site.

When I’m done, WordPress tells me “All Done: Have Fun.” When I click the link, though, I’m not seeing my old posts.

The XML file, by the way, is only 995 bytes. Any suggestions?

That would make me think you didn’t get much exported from your wordpress.COM blog.

Michael, I only started blogging at WordPress.com in November, so it might not’ve had time to grow yet. I have about 70 posts in that time. No video, just some photos (most’ve which I’ve linked to from Picasa Online).

Well an XML file from a test blog with about 30 posts was over 80,000 bytes for me.
