First off I love your theme, great job!

I’m importing posts via RSS, and this theme has been working out great, but every now and then, there’s a hiccup.

I’m using the magazine style for the page, with the post template img-left-content-right. It works great, but every now and then, I’ll have a post that just… freaks out. Reference: https://i.imgur.com/PyEF72z.jpg

Instead of abbreviating the post, it basically displays the entire post. This throws everything off and I’m not sure why it’s doing this. Does anybody have any recommendations on what I could possibly do to fix this? I don’t have this problem w/ the img-mouse-over template. I haven’t tried the others yet.

  • hi hiro245,

    that looks weird indeed.. hmm

if you disable all plugins does it still happen?

Ok… in the mysql database in the wp_post table, there is a column called post_excerpt where the post is stripped down. It looks like when this is happening, it’s not properly stripping away everything it should be and it leaves the entire post intact. So when it loads on the page… that’s what happens. Still not exactly sure why though that it’s failing. I’ll try looking into it a bit more.

Ok… this is a feedwordpress issue. It looks more and more like their syndicated_item_excerpt code is horked. I’ll go ahead and close this and take it up w/ them.

hi hiro245, great you found out – and let us know what they said, konrad
