Having trouble uploading Olsen light theme

    Hi I am very new to all this and I am trying to get my head around all this so all the help possible would be much appreciated!

    I am trying to upload Olsen Light theme but I get this message:

    Unpacking the package…

    The package could not be installed. PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature

    How can I fix this?? I have plenty of space on my hardrive. Also I am currently running this theme but i’m guessing its not the full thing because it has the themetitle displayed on there!

    Hello Zan.

    It appears the theme has been installed and is activated. Have you managed to resolve this issue?

    Yes it has thanks, but the theme title still showing up ‘OLSEN’ how can I change this?

    Go to Customize -> Site Identity and on the logo section click the remove button to remove the default logo image.

    I’d like to ask you, if you like the theme and could take a minute to review it here, it would help us a lot!

    I’m also a complete novice at WP, so I’m sure that’s affecting my understanding of how to upload the Olsen upgrade.

    There was a problem when I attempted to import sample content. I uploaded the widget importer, but when I attempted to upload that way, I also get an error message:

    “Sorry, there has been an error.
    This does not appear to be a WXR file, missing/invalid WXR version number.”

    The sample content is saved on my computer, but I can’t find the link in WordPress anymore.

    Hello there.

    Most likely you get this error because you tried to upload the zip file. Instead, try extracting the file and upload the .xml file found inside. That should do it.

    Have a look at the theme’s documentation here it will help you with the setup process.

    Finally, I’d like to ask you, if you have a follow up to this or a different question to please create a new ticket since this is not directly related to the original issue.
