    Hi,

So glad to have found your plugin for one of our clients who uses Constant Contact. However, after installing and activating the plugin, we had trouble connecting to the account. We’re pretty sure the username and password were correct. The site is on a PHP 5.4.45.

    Here is the URL: https://emergencyexcellence.com/

Please help and let me know if you need additional info.

    Thanks,
    852 CMD

What errors, if any where you seeing? Was it still showing you the same content/UI as if you hadn’t connected?

I’m checking internal logs and am seeing some attempts for https://emergencyexcellence.com/ee but that is coming with that extra “ee” at the end.

    Hi Michael,

Thanks for getting back to us.

The error that we saw when trying to connect the account was “There was an error connecting your account. Please try again.” on the “Connect Now” portal. And yes, it was showing the same content/UI as if we hadn’t connected.

“ee” was the correct site. Not sure why their previous developer created that.

    Thanks again!

Looks like in those cases, there was an issue verifying and saving access token values.

Either proof of validity, a return token, or a return key went missing, or the verification failed. Verification will fail when a stored value isn’t matching up with what got returned during the connection process.

I am still curious about the /ee/ portion because as far as I can tell, that’s just a 404 error when visiting. It may also be playing a part in the issue at hand.

Any changes on your end here @852cmd ? Specifically around the last part of my last reply.

    Thanks for following up.

We ended up grabbing the embedded code from the client’s Constant Contact account. We didn’t build the site so we weren’t 100% sure why the /ee/. Anyway, the embedded code worked.

    Thanks again.

Sounds good, thanks for the followup as well. Have a good rest of your week.
