    Hello,

I’m new to WordPress, website building and all of this stuff so I’m 90% sure this is user error but I’ve reached a dead-end and need some help.

I’m trying to change the theme on my site to something that allows more flexibility putting in menus. I’m currently using the theme ‘Aamla’. When I click ‘change’ on the theme page I get the following error message:

“Sorry, you can’t preview new themes when you have changes scheduled or saved as a draft. Please publish your changes, or wait until they publish to preview new themes.”

As far as I can work out, all changes have been published (I’ve been through each page and clicked ‘update’ and I don’t have anything set to publish at a specific time or saved as draft).

Is there some way of finding out what’s blocking my ability to change the theme?

All advice very welcome!! Thank you.

There are two (three?) places to schedule changes:

    1. The customizer. Do you have any pending changes there?
    2. Check PAGES->ALL PAGES. Anything scheduled?
    3. Check POSTS->ALL POSTS. Anything scheduled?

    Hi Steve,

Thank you so much. I hadn’t realised that the customizer was set to save draft instead of publish so although I hadn’t actually made any changes, it had saved a draft and wouldn’t let me progress.

Thanks for taking the time to help out a newbie!

It’s a bit of an obscure feature. ??
