Having Problems with Style Switcher

Hello Everyone,
I am new here and have just started using Word Press. So Far I love it. It is so much easier than Moveable Type. However I would like to use Alex King’s Style Switcher. I have a couple of my own styles that I would like to implement. However I have started off just using the styles that he has supplied.

Here is the problem…..I can type in the url for the css file and get to the css, however it is not loading onto the page. I believe that I have the code all in the right place, but like I said I am new to this and am not positive.
I have also installed the plugin and activated it, so I do not think that is the issue.
It seems that the index.php is loading, but it does not matter which CSS file I choose it does not load.
Any Suggestions?
