Having more than "Home" in twenty ten header

  • WordPress is new for me. I’ve been reading but find no answers. I am trying to get the pages by title such as profile, plant monographs, products….beneath the header. Thus far I only have “home” and that is it. Thank-you for your time.

    Are you editing your theme, or just using it as stock?

    If you’re editing, try the following:
    <?php wp_list_pages('title_li=&depth=1'); ?>

    **EDIT – I’m assuming that it’s this site.

    Have you made sure that the pages are published publicly and aren’t private? Also, make sure that they’re not scheduled for the future.

    Shucks, I thought I posted a link so sorry.
    Yes, that is the link.
    No posts in private.
    I am thinking I have the terminology wrong? Navigation perhaps is more proper? The links right below the header I only have home. However, I need to have a few more. ?? Not as a blog as completely different link to that page. With a drop down (subs right?). I did edit but only to put on my pictures. One of the area did say it was a good idea for me to delete a page. When I did that in fact all links except “Home” were gone after this action. Didn’t think about it til now.

    Wild stab in the dark, you didn’t accidentally make the pages children on the page ‘Home’, did you?

    No, do not think so. If that happened I didn’t know this as I have not proceeded with any child pages, to my knowledge.

    Can you please add the Pages widget to your sidebar via Appearance->Widgets?

    Alright it has been added.

    Sorry – it’s not there now. Did any other Pages show? If not, then I suspect that you haven’t actually published any other Pages yet.

    I think the widgets did it. I noticed that is actually where the deleted “sample page” was sitting and i brought it out of trash. published it, and that link was clearly there. so I went and deleted it as no I don’t want it up there. No unpublished pages. Its back to just home but i do think it was the widget that was needed. Thank-you. If not, I’ll be back!

    Can you try adding a page with the title ‘Test’ for me please? Leave the content blank, make sure it’s not private and make sure that it’s not scheduled for the future. In other words, just create a blank page called ‘Test’ using the default page template. (Also remember not to make it a child.)

    okay test page is up. I haven’t hit the world of child page yet! ?? one step at a time. It is there and it did wok. Or looks like it to me. Thank-you so much!
