I built my WordPress website through the Elementor plugin (I know very little coding and needed a quick art portfolio) a year or so ago.

My work thumbnails used to just be clickable pictures, but I’ve changed them to an image carousel because I felt they needed an update. I wanted the user to be able to tap an image and be able to pan through a gallery of other pictures (process images) when they tapped or clicked the thumbnail.

I don’t want the images to auto scroll or preview all at once. I’d just like to allow the user to have the option to tap or click the photo and scroll to see process images.

When I did this in Elementor, everything previewed as I wanted, but when I updated it on my website, only the thumbnail image came up, not the rest of the gallery.

On mobile, you can swipe the images on the page, but it makes the layout of the page look odd and I’d rather the option only be available with someone taps the image to preview a bigger version of it.

    Examples:
In Elementor, the arrows are clickable and other images come up.

When live on my website, you can’t pan through the gallery with the arrows.

Could this be something I could fix through Elementor or would this take a bit of coding to accomplish?

  • It looks like you’ve solved this. The images on that page seem to work the way you’ve described that you wanted it to work. If you still need help, let me know.
