my site markpine.com is working perfectly on desktop. when I visit the site on my phone that is when the issue happens.

after I scroll down and scroll back up on mobile the logo and menu are no longer level and you can’t see the menu.

This doesn’t happen on any theme besides the WordPress 2021 theme

I am not customizing the theme at all. I have all other plugins disconnected.

if I install any other theme it works perfectly.

i like the look of the WordPress 2021 theme so I’m trying to figure this out.

i don’t understand how other people arent using the same configuration.

    please help.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi Mark,

Thanks for reaching out. It looks like what you’re encountering is down to the anchor ad placement resulting in your logo being shifted below the ad, while your menu remains in position. While this isn’t Site Kit specifically causing this logo shift it’s AdSense logic placing the anchor ad mixed with the styling of your themes navigation menu.

In this case you have a few different options.

    1. Firstly you can disable ads from the header of your site using the AdSense auto ads preview tool. Just be sure you’re reviewing your site in mobile mode.
    2. Secondly you could disable the Anchor ad formats.
    3. Another option is to insert your own AdSense snippet as opposed to allowing Site Kit to insert your snippet. Using this method you can add a configuration option to disable Anchor ads. I don’t recommend this method unless you’re comfortable adding code.

Note that all the above result in no anchor ads on your site. This could potentially lead to a drop in ad performance.

An alternative option to the above is to make programmatic changes to your themes, or to switch themes. As you can image this isn’t something we can assist with in Site Kit support however if you have any further questions on the other suggestions above let me know.

I can’t use Google auto ads with the WordPress 2021 theme with zero customization and a few plugins from reputable developers? I don’t understand how I’m the only one having this issue. Why would I want to disable the ads? That’s how I make money on the site. Why do I need to place the code myself when I have auto ads? Everytime I post this issue for support I get responses with reasons why it can’t be fixed. If anyone is reading this please watch the video. I know there is a simple solution to this issue and for some reason every time I post about it I get bad advice.

@markpine360 I understand you’re frustration, it’s not ideal considering your monetizing your site. Having said that the issue isn’t something we can resolve in the Site Kit forums unfortunately, we’re limited to plugin support. If you implement Auto ads manually and not with Site Kit the behavior will be the same.

To address your other points see below:

You can also insert manual ads if you prefer to pick and choose the ads and their placements. Or use the suggestions previously advised to ensure there are not anchor ads on the top of your page.

Note that it’s very unlikely you are the only user encountering this issue. AdSense Auto ads logic determines the position and placement of ads, which can sometimes result in layout shifts.

I was trying to only provide some suggestions. What you are encountering is not Site Kit specific.

Sorry to hear you feel this way. I have provided answers to the best of my ability. For AdSense specific queries you may find better support using the appropriate channels, such as the AdSense Help Center.

You could also test out different themes and see if any of them suit your needs without any layout shift when using ads. I know it’s not ideal but there is nothing I can provide within the Site Kit plugin that will alter the behavior of your anchor ads.
