Having a Page Title with Italic elements

Post title is the same as Page title, unless you are actually referring to site title.
Post/Page titles can contain HTML, but site title cannot.
If the theme is coded correctly, any HTML in post titles will be rendered in menus, navigation links and breadcrumbs (a lot of themes mess up the breadcrumbs).

Ehm. Many of those places are usually stripping any html formatting.
But you could try using the special notation: & directly followed by #x1D43A;

↑↑ That will render as 𝐺, provided that you’re using a font that includes this Unicode character “MA-THE-MA-TI-CAL ITALIC CA-PI-TAL G”

Consider that the titles are also used in feeds and in slugs (can be edited).

You can also add some Javascript that will add italic tags around the ‘G’s in the title once the page is loaded. Here’s an example of how it can be done.

@joyously it seems to be a problem related to the theme itself, as pages do not accept html and posts do.

@tobifjellner for now that worked, although it is a mathematical italic g

@crouchingbruin I also tried your js but it either made the whole page title italic or the span couldn’t be used in the wordpress page title editor.
