Have to submit urls manually to get them indexed

  • very strange. lately when I submit a post, my urls get indexed in google about half a day to index (or following morning). But I just had to manually submit a url to get it to show up in google search as it was more than a day and it wasn’t showing.

    recent changes to my site just include updating the Yoast seo plugin and updating to wordpress 3.5.2.

    Could this be at all related to those updates, or is something else the culprit?

    It is worth noting that the url did appear in the site map, but not in google search until I did the manual individual submission.

    FYI a month ago my urls were showing in google within the hour, so not sure what that is about, as well.
