    Hi There,
    Neat plugin!

I recently noticed that although I had most plugins deactivated for a specific page, the WooCommerce Side Cart little circle was still there. So I had to check it, Save, uncheck it, Save and now it is gone.
I’m now questioning whether any of the other settings are real or if I need to go back through all of them and redo them.

Do you know how we can fix this?
    Thanks
    Dan

    Hi @excelvbaisfun

    thank you very much!

You need to check it, uncheck it and save because if you don’t touch anything and only click on save, Freesoul Deactivate Plugins doesn’t start the saving process because it thinks you haven’t changed anything. This was just to explain why you need to check, save, uncheck and save again.

About the issue, I think the most probable causes are the following.

An old version of Freesoul Deactivate Plugins saved the options in a different way than now. If you updated the plugin coming from an old version I don’t exclude this issue is caused by the different saving processes. This may be the cause but only for the Singles settings and only for child pages and translated pages. If you have this problem also for other settings (Post Types…) and for normal pages (not having a parent page, not translated), this cause is not probable.

Another cause may be the cache. When you save the Singles settings of Freesoul Deactivate Plugins, the most popular caching plugins will delete the cache because FDP updates the post meta of the pages where you do changes. Usually caching plugins delete the cache of all pages where the post meta is updated.
This means that changing options in Singles the cache of the pages where you have a change in terms of disabled plugins is deleted.
After saving the Singles settings maybe you have deleted the cache and then you saw the updated version of the page. For some reason, the old version of the cache maybe wasn’t with the right disabled plugins.

To see if the cause is the second one, if you have a caching plugin, clear all the cache and then check if you see the right disabled plugins.

If the cause is the first one, unfortunately, you need to save again the Singles settings. After you do it you’ll never have to do it again.

If it is neither of the two cases we would need to investigate deeper. In that case, I will ask some questions.

    Hi Jose,
    Thanks for the info!
It seems to be working better now, probably the caching like you said.

I’m having trouble getting it to work with my LearnDash lessons. I see on the default page there’s a post type “Lessons”, but when I set, save, clear cache and do a hard-refresh on the lesson I’m on, nothing changes. I also tried Archives-> Lessons Archives, but it also had no effect.

I guess I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong.

Love your plugin, it’s helped me speed up some sales pages that I’m sure will really help a lot in the future to get more sales!

    Thanks
    Dan

    Hi @excelvbaisfun

    you are welcome!

Can you see “Lessons” (or something similar) in the submenu of Singles?
If so, please go to Singles => Lessons, go with your mouse on a lesson, and click on the “?” icon (the third icon). A popup should open and tell you which plugins are disabled on that page, and from which settings. Can you report what does that popup says?

If you click on the second icon (the eye), that lesson will open. Inspecting elements (right-click => Inspect) and clicking on “Console” you should see the list of disabled plugins. Can you see it? Does the list contain the list of disabled plugins that you expect to see? Is the page the lesson that you expect to see?
