• So i have some simple SWF files, i want then to show on iphone/ipad.
I thought to make a MP4 conversion but so fa cant find any decent price conversion software.
and even if i get that is there a way to have an iphone/ipad load this movie instead of the SWF without doing a completely new mobile theme?

any further ideas, or how to convert the SWF’s?

    Thanks!

Yes. You convert it, manually, to MP4 or something an iphone can play.

This isn’t a WP question, by the way.

I have this bookmarked, but I have not tried it yet. It might be worth a look.

well 2 thing i see as relevent to wordpress are
    1. can there be conditional statement to load iphone content on a page (no template)? so i can embed flash and otherwise video with video player.
    2. i thought about HTML, but as far as i can tell the Javascript would all go into the header. so again, this cannot be page specific, unless i make a template for each page i want to have swf content on. seems a bit non-dynamic.

I think the issue of relevance may be related to what seems to be the actual focal point of your question:

“any further ideas, or how to convert the SWF’s?”

Perhaps in light of your above concerns, just finding a converter may be the way to go. Looks like there might be a few free alternatives worth investigating. convert swf to mp4 freeware

If you own a windows machine, take a look at the input and output formats available on this free little gem. //www.freemake.com/free_video_converter/
