Have so many custom post types they're disappearing from the admin menu

Been searching, but I’m stumped on this one. I have a site with a lot of custom post types and a few plugins that add items to the admin menu as well. No matter what I do, I can’t get all the custom post types to appear. If I delete the menu_position argument in the one that’s missing, it appears but then another one disappears. How can I get all of them to appear? Will I need to totally recreate the admin menu and is there a good tutorial on how to do that somewhere? I don’t want to risk screwing up the menu numbering system. Thanks!
