    I recently downloaded updraft plus plugin and installed on my site. made setting for weekly backups with google drive as remote storage option. saved the setting and clicked the link, on pop up to authorize google account, the process completed. and then first backup started, process for backup finished with an error cant send to remote storage, Have not yet obtained an access token from Google, when I looked into google drive and apps, it is showing updraft app, also recieved an email from google that updraft is permitted to modify my files. yet in my website why there is an error. can someone tell me how to obtain access token from google.

    Sometimes i get the “no token obtained issue” whilst reporting a successful connection earlier. Do you as well get any error like a “443 googleapis.com connection timeout or something like that”?

    Hi @shahbaz316,

    Please could you send us a copy of the latest backup log? This can be found in the UpdraftPlus Existing Backups tab.

    The contents will be too long to post here directly, but you can use an online service such as Dropbox or Pastebin, and post the link here.

    @boomjizzy could you run a test backup and post in on your thread.

    Please could you re-authroise with Google Drive?
    After confirming the authorisation on the orange screen and being returned to WP Admin, does the success message include your account name and quota usage?

    Hi,

    I have lost the ability to backup to Google Drive as well. The system keeps telling me that I need to authenticate. Through Settings I deleted the current set up for Google Drive and then authenticated again. I keep getting the same result. Looking at the previous post I do not receive a message with my account name and quota usage. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

    My problem for access token is resolved, I think it was gmails cache problem, since I had logged into multiple accounts from same browser, That might have caused ambiguity. when I signed out of all the accounts and then logged in with one account, it authenticated successfully. Thank you for your responses.

    if you have the same error, and also logged into many accounts through same browser, you should also do the same, but all of first in updraft dashborad goto advance setting then, select wipe setting, it will clear all your previuos settings. The try to re authenticate the google account
