• While I have contacted Dreamhost and am awaiting their response, has anyone else encountered this problem? Am I being overly cautious? Today, I received an email from WordPress saying that I have new registration for my site. Everything about the username and email looks very spam-like. I went to go on my site and my regular passwork/username do not work, but rather a message that says:

    Database Update Required

    WordPress has been updated! Before we send you on your way, we have to update your database to the newest version.

    The update process may take a little while, so please be patient.

    I’m afraid to do this. Four days ago, I received an email from Dreamhost saying that, per my request, my wordpress site was upgraded. I did not request this and have notified them but as of yet, no response. Does anyone have any suggestions? Do I update? I can’t log onto my site!
