I have a site with Paypal standard integration.

How can I have the use a credit card/optionally create a paypal account frame open when a user hits paypal?

Right now it is the Use your paypal account frame open initially and the only other option is to create a paypal account?

    Thanks a ton!

  • Still not sure of exactly what you want to do. If I’m understanding correctly, you want the default option of a credit card payment form showing up when the user is on the PayPal website?

I’m not sure if that’s fixable. I would check PayPal to see if there’s a guest checkout option. Something along the lines of a PayPal account not required to purchase items option.

Is this problem on your website or PayPal’s?

    Yes that’s it exactly.

I have found this does work, not in the sandbox, but only when linked to a real account. As long as the account holder accepts credit cards.

For some reason paypal doesn’t always show the credit card frame though. Sometimes it is the login form for paypal that shows initially, with the option to click use credit card. Other times it shows fill in your name and address to proceed to the credit card section.

No clue why it switches with no clear reason or pattern. I tested this on a friends ecommerce store that runs on a separate platform and it has the same issue.
