• Hi,

I recently bought a domain name through godaddy, and would love to use my wordpress as my host.

Here is what I WANT to see:

    mysite.com/about
    mysite.com/links

I do *NOT* want to see:

    mysite.wordpress.com/about
    mysite.wordpress.com/links

(Basically, I want my site to look like a SITE, not a blog.)

How do I do this? Help!

    Thank you so much!

    – Sara

  • This would be a good place to start:

    https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

www.remarpro.com does not host 3rd party sites. You will need to purchase your own hosting and domain name.

If you currently have a wordpress.com site, you can map your godaddy domain to it for an extra fee: Map An Existing Domain

Your other option would be to purchase 3rd party hosting (through godaddy, likely, since your domain is already there) and set up a new www.remarpro.com install on it, then transfer all your existing content over there.

You need to get a web host and then install WordPress. Almost all web hosting companies have a one-click install of the more popular web applications and WordPress will definitely be there.

After installing WordPress to achieve the what you want e.g. mysite.com/about or mysite.com/links you have to set up the permalinks to be able to do this.
