I am very new to wordpress and web design (so please be gentle!)

I have managed to download and install the Hatch theme, however, as I start I can’t find a way of adding images to the posts that will appear on the home page.

At the moment they are blank and whilst I am able to change the header easily, I can’t find any way of adding images into the boxes below the header.

Once you highlight the boxes you can see the title of the post it links to – but I would like to have images in these areas as shown on the demo.

Thanks for your help! (Sorry if this sounds a bit simple!)

  • hi gingerjam! when you create or edit a post there is an option to “set featured image” on the right bottom part of the screen, and that’s where the picture comes from. when you upload the picture choose single thumbnail size 640X360 and not “insert to post” button, but link to the right to it saying “use as featured image”.

Thanks so much – this is perfect!

Can’t believe I didn’t see that, really was expecting it to be more difficult, thanks for your help.

You’re welcome! Yeah, sometimes it happens that we miss to see little things! I also have just posted a simple question, hopefully somebody replies soon ??
