• Hello, could someone tell me why all of my URLS have a hash tag (#) and exclamation mark (!) in them eg https://domain.com.au/#!/ or https://domain.com.au/#!/about/ . I have tried installing the all-in-one SEO pack to try and over-ride this problem but it hasn’t worked. I think it may be a problem with my theme because the URL structure stay the same no matter which settings I choose in the permalinks section.

    Thanks.

I’ve done some more research and I have learnt that this is a hashbang. If anyone can help me to safely remove this structure that would be great as it is breaking my site.

what about putting in redirects from the hashbang pages to the correct URL’s?

    Your site URL?

Thanks, but I can’t show the site as it uses a plugin that shows a splash page instead. I don’t know enough about PHP and Ajax to do the redirect.

Turns out it is a broken theme (Adorable) and everyone who has bought it has had problems but I don’t think we’re getting refunds!

    Thanks anyway

I never solved mine, I had to change my theme. Solution I think is to not use themes that use the #! system.
