Has the plugin changed to make you buy extensions?

Hello. We have been running this plugin for our portfolio galleries for several years now without issue and just recently discovered that the grid format was not working and all images were full sized and consecutive on the page, (scrolling down 1 by 1)

I rolled the plugin back several versions and was able to bring back the grid – but also see now that you are offering extensions and one is relative to this format,

So what I need to know is, in order for it to display as you can see from the link, do we need an extension?

Looking forward to you our response. We would like all of our plugin to be up to date.
