Comments not being processed

    I’ve only just noticed, because I haven’t looked in the Comment Mail queue for a while, that this plug-in has appeared to stop working. I had 2006 comments waiting to be sent out and it appears nothing has been sent since 8 July. I’m now processing the queue manually, but I wonder if you have any idea what might have caused this?

    I now have some additional information, comments haven’t completely stopped being sent. Normally my system sends about 20 emails out every 20 minutes, it is no longer doing that.

    If I look in the logs, I have identified one page on which three comments were made in quick succession, the only comments on that page made in the last couple of months. 48 comments were queued up to be sent out from that page as a result of those comments. It took seven goes to send them all and instead of what would have normally taken an hour, I noticed gaps of two hours, six hours and 18 hours between some sends and in total it took 50 hours to send them all.

    Looking further down the logs, it would appear this problem started after I updated to WordPress 4.9.7 on 5 July.

    Any ideas how to fix it? Any help greatly appreciated.

    I’m still having this problem, do you need me to upgrade to Pro to get support? Happy to do that if we can fix it.
