has potential but lots of bugs

  • The plugin has some potential but it is very early days and there are lots of bugs – for example the maps provides directions to the wrong place, the taxonomy description is all messed up and doesn’t work.

    Be prepared to do a lot of work yourself modifying codes to get even basic functionality working.

    Worth keeping an eye on though because it does offer a good potential – though very expensive if you take on all the addons.

    I’d wait before buying though – if they have major bugs in the core plugin then the paid for addons are likely to be buggy too.

    Update: the latest version 1.0.2 has dealt with all the major issues so I’ve increased the rating.

    This is not really suitable for operators of a number of websites. This is very time demanding to keep up with all the updates and the problems that those updates bring about including incompatibility with add-on plugins. The site I have this opeating on (until I get time to transfer it back to a more suitable plugin) is without doubt one of the most time consuming and demanding web sites I have ever operated.
    I would recommend giving this about a year to settle down and become stable before taking it beyond development and into an active site.
    Still worth keeping an eye on for when it finally become a reliable and stable plugin.

    Hi Kevin,

    thanks for your feedback. Calling those glitches major bugs seems unfair to me. Simply because they do not prevent the main features of the plugin to work, I’d call them minor bugs instead…

    Other than these 2,that we have already fixed, could you please list the lots of other bugs you have found so that we can fix them (if any)

    I agree that the issue with the terms description is a minor bug and is not important but I do disagree with you about the directions.

    Not giving any directions is bad but to send someone to a totally different place is a major bug – especially if they are using the site to find the way to a theatre or restaurant for a meeting. To end up on the wrong side of town is not a minor glitch.

    I took 2 stars off just for that one problem and once it has been solved and working correctly I’ll be more than happy to up my rating by 2 stars to 4.
