    Hi @quadshot, @loushou & @coolmann.

I’ve seen some replies to other comments that you’re abandoning OTCE, but you haven’t made any public announcements, either here or on your website to this effect.

I’m asking as I’m hoping that this might not actually be true… I still hold out hope that you change your minds as I’ve always found that OTCE’s methods to be by far the best way of creating and selling events – especially the way that you use WC products.

Please let us know ASAP so that we can finally take the (sad) decision to move on.

    Cheers

    Peter

  • Hi @petervandoorn did you ever get a response to this? I would also like to know if this plugin is abandoned. Lack of response on these support pages, no updates for 11 months now and several PHP errors and plugin conflicts seem to be creeping in. Would be great to have a straight answer from the developer, so we can move on if needed.

Hi @wrconsultancy – unfortunately @quadshot, @loushou or @coolmann haven’t had the decency to reply, but they have now admitted it on their website at https://opentickets.com/

You’d think they might have updated the repository info too!

Shame. It was by far the best ticketing solution I’ve come across!

    Peter

Thanks for the response @petervandoorn that is a real shame. Have you had any luck finding a suitable replacement. All I see at the moment as possible options are https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-event-tickets-plus/ or https://woocommerce.com/products/woocommerce-bookings/

    Hi @wrconsultancy

I haven’t yet found a replacement, and I think I’ve been through them all. I even bought the WooCommerce Events and then immediately got a refund as it’s awful (imho). I’m considering Tickera with their commercial add-ons to give me Woocommerce compatibility, but it is a bit pricey and has some limitations. There’s always Event Espresso too, but that was one of the ones I tried before OpenTickets and didn’t really get on with it.

I’m even considering forking OTCE and rolling my own, but I don’t really have the in-depth know-how to fix the worst of the bugs.

    Hello @petervandoorn @wrconsultancy

Apologies for not responding as I didn’t have the notifications turned on to this email.

Would anyone of you like to be added and take over the project? As mentioned on Home Page of , we couldn’t make this a profitable venture due to the changes in WP and WC, HOWEVER, would love to see the open source community keep going.

If either of you would like to be added to the repository, and your www.remarpro.com accounts we can make that happen.

I’ll also try and update the forums sticky post, but didn’t see a way to do this.

Please feel to reach me at michael at quadshot.com if you would like to discuss, and I’ll try and update forum post.

Peter, personal note, you’ve been a supported for a long time and appreciate it.

Thanks @petervandoorn it looks like we have both explored similar routes and come to the same conclusions. It is a real shame about this plugin.

@quadshot Thanks too for coming back to us. Unfortunately I’m in the same position as Peter in that “I don’t really have the in-depth know-how to fix the worst of the bugs” either.
