• I am using the latest version of both woocommerce and your plugin. The Tax Exempt ID field does display on the checkout form, and the ID is captured as a custom field on the order. However, entering a value in the field has no effect on the amount of the tax calculated.

We charge taxes only when delivering to one state (Maine). The tax amount is being calculated correctly (based on the zip code) before entering anything in the ID field. Entering a value in the ID field changes nothing. The checkout screen does not “gray out” (as it normally does when you change, for example, the shipping zip code and the shipping charges are recalculated), and the tax amount field remains unchanged.

    What gives?

So, just to finish the story…you go ahead and place the order. You then look at the order, and the tax amount is till what it was before entering the ID value. The ID value appear in a custom field, but the amount charged the customer is the same as if you didn’t enter an ID.

Would you mind posting your URL here so I could take a look?

    Thanks.

Waiting a month to get any response is an eternity in web development time. Because the basic functionality for plugin was broken, I had to move on. I’m not using the plugin, so sharing the url of the site would be of no use.

What did you end up using instead?

    Thanks

    Corrinda,

If you’re having an issue too, please let me know. Unfortunately, I don’t get notified when there’s a new issue opened here.
