• Hi,

we used your Plugin 3 years ago. But it had its issues when our Post amount reached more than 10.000. You wrote that it is not recommended to use it if we have that much posts. So we deleted it. The Search function in WordPress is still not good. Did your Plugin improve and is ready to handle now over 16.000 Posts?

Thanks in Advance for your answer.

I usually say the problems start with 50.000 posts, but if you had performance issues with 10.000 posts, it’s not going to work with 16.000 –?nothing has changed with that. In itself 16.000 posts should not be a problem with Relevanssi.

A bit depends on what those issues were; some of the issues can be circumvented with adjusting settings. Using a throttle setting should make searching possible.

If you have access to WP CLI, buying Premium and using WP CLI to build the index will make index-building really easy, instead of being an unpleasant process that takes lots of time.

So, perhaps if you remember what kind of problems did you have with Relevanssi before, I can tell if that’s going to be a problem again; you can also give Relevanssi a go, it’s a free plugin after all.

If you want a fast, powerful search for large amount of posts, look into Elastic, Solr or Algolia.
