Has anyone benchmarked Redis Object Cache?

  • Dear Community,
    has anyone run benchmarks on Redis Object Cache? If so what sort of system, load and site profile was being tested?

    I’m open to the possibility that caching could be faster, as caching does often work, but not under all circumstances.

    One user even reported their site being slower with Redis Object Cache.

    Heaps of people have, Google might show you some results, but you really need to benchmark your exact setup, because hardware and infrastructure stack will greatly influence the results.

    Make sure to disable page caching before benchmarking, otherwise you just see how fast your page cache is.
