  • Hi Peter, the custom header in Harmonic is displayed only on the blog part of the site. You can see what it looks like on the Harmonic demo, for example, where the blog index is found here:

Have you set up a blog on your site somewhere? This would entail two steps:

    – You’ll need to publish at least one post. I only see pages at the link above. You can add posts through your dashboard, under Posts > Add New.
    – Set up a blank placeholder page for your blog and assign that page to your latest posts under Settings > Reading. If you’re not sure how to do that, check out the guide to setting up a static home page with a separate blog page. (It’s from WordPress.com but the instructions are the same for a self-hosted site.)

One you have a blog page, your custom header should be visible there, as long as it meets the minimum size requirement of 1216px.

Let me know how it goes!

Thank Kathryn I have now worked it out and all is working well

Glad to hear it! Looks like you opted to display your blog on the front page in the end. ??

I’ll still answer this question in case you ever decide to switch back to a static front page, rather than displaying your blog posts on the homepage:

I create a new page I do not have “Place holder template ” option in Page attributes- templates. I only have “Default Template”, “Front Page” & “full width Options

You don’t need to apply any special page template to the placeholder. Just leave it using the default template.

Hi Kathryn. I have a static front page, and I simply can’t get a picture on my front page. I have tried header, background, and simply adding an image to my page. What can I do? (www.christine-gjelstrup.dk)
