After importing an additional 3000 links for a total of about 5100, WordPress started acting funny. The problem presents itself as the Link Library -> Global Options page not working. When I click on Global Options, the Chrome browser gives me the error:
    This page isn’t working
www6.rootseekers.org is currently unable to handle this request.
    HTTP ERROR 500

All the other Link Library sub-menus work just fine.

I started deleting links to see if the culprit was corrupt data. At around 600 deleted links, the Global Options page began to work! I couldn’t see anything in the data that I was deleting that would seem to be “considered” corrupt data. I eventually narrowed in to 4476 All/Published links. Any more and I get the “This page isn’t working” message from Chrome; any less, and the Global Options page would display correctly.

I deleted some links below 4476 records and replaced them with links above 4476, but less than a TOTAL of 4476 links All/Published, and the problem did not occur. Thus, I think we are running into a hard limit on the number of links Link Library can handle.

    Is this hard limit intentional?

Can this hard limit be increased?

Sorry, I misunderstood. If you try to import too many links at once, the web server might time it depending on your server settings. Just break up the data into multiple CSV files. There is no maximum of links you can import.

    With your Dashboard link:
    https://<domain name>/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=link_library_links&continue60update=1

Everything is working great! All links are back under All/Publish. The Global Options page is loading correctly. And searches are working well!

    Off to do more imports!

    Thank you!

I go off to do more imports and run into more/same/different problems that make me question whether I actually saw the Global Options page earlier!

Now when I use the continue60update link, I’m getting the list of links instead of the Global Options page. Without passing through the Global Options page, I can’t get to the import/export section.

In case I was seeing a cached page… I opened up another browser with a private tab, logged in to my WordPress, and the same list of links came up with the continue60update command.

I deleted those 600 links again but still only get the Link Library list of links. Of course, I’m now below the 4476 so the Global Options page is working.
Maybe the Links Library list of links is what I saw before and thought it was the Global Options page when the number of links were above 4476. I know, I’m not making sense…

Any suggestions about how to get to the Global Options page when the number of All/Published links are above 4476?

    Rob
