• Hi,

I suspect this is due to the file I’ve created being so large… But when I turn on autoptimize and reload the page, it could be 10seconds of a blank white page before the page actually loads it. That page is then fine because I assume the files are within my cache. But realistically I can’t have this experience for each person coming onto the website.

Any suggestions? I’d love it if instead of one huge css and js file, I could split it up into 3-5? Obviously that kind if defeats the point, but currently I have probably 15+ files due to the theme I’m using.

I would just change the theme! But I’m stuck working with it unfortunately.

Great plugin by the way, works a treat on a theme I made. Shame all these ‘out-of-the-box’ themes are so bloated!!

    Thanks for your help

splitting up files is not supported, but you could exclude some files from CSS or JS optimization?

also; make sure you have a page cache and don’t aggregate inline JS (both will help to keep the initial loading time the base HTML to a minimum).

but I would need to see what is happening to better understand the problem.
