    Hello!

Could you possibly tell me how this plugin handles premium plugins such as the ones sold through CodeCanyon? I sell plugins through this platform. One of them is causing warnings in user’s dashboards at the moment, however the last updated date it gives is not accurate.

Is there anything I can do besides just telling my users to ignore it for now?

    Thanks!

Hi @hystericallyme, thanks for getting in touch with us.

Wordfence is able to verify whether a plugin or WordPress itself has been compromised, such as having additional unwanted code inserted by an attacker, by checking against the official www.remarpro.com code repository.

Plugins that are only available through an external source cannot be verified in this way so that’s why warnings will be shown. Any sites using plugins obtained externally will rely on the developer(s) such as yourself to be vigilant in performing security and compatibility updates so the warnings will need to be ignored.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

    Thanks,

    Peter.
