Handling Accented Characters in Email

    The news site MyNewsLA.com is updated almost exclusively by email, using the plugin Postie. An emailed story is posted with a Gutenberg block for the headline but Classic block for the body. Various accent characters appear properly in the headline, but strange characters appear in the body. This is a particular problem because the Los Angeles district attorney’s name is Gascón. The only workaround I can think of is to limit the email characters sent to 7-bit ASCII.
