Hand-coded HTML for numbered lists disappearing!

  • I do a lot of tutorials with images between the numbered steps. So I needed to use code like this: <li start="2"> so that steps after the images follow in numbered order.

    I’m having a lot of trouble getting my added code to stick. I go into the HTML tab, change the HTML, save the draft (because that seemed to help before), and then go back to the Visual tab and the numbers aren’t correct. So I go back to the HTML tab and find that the extra code I added has been stripped out!

    I’ve had this happen many, many times, but usually after a few tries it sticks. This time it’s not working. Is there a secret to doing this?
