First off, I really like this plugin. It’s very simple and eye-catching.

My problem is that when I open the widget for editing, half of the social icons (including Facebook, YouTube, WordPress, and Reddit) are missing, so I can’t add them to the site. Others like Twitter, Google+, and GitHub do show up, for some reason. I do have Adblock Plus on my browser, but I disabled it and even so it typically would block all social links.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi @jpyams, thanks for the kind words!

I’m happy to help figure out what might be going wrong. If you could provide me with some additional information I can try to replicate the problem on my end.

    1. What plugins are currently active on your site?
    2. What theme are you using?
    3. Take a screenshot of what you’re seeing and share a URL here.

    Hi @jpyams,

We released a new version of Contact Widgets yesterday (v1.4.1) which did include a fix for a known conflict with another plugin.

Before I proceed with investigating this issue deeper, could you please update the plugin, flush your browser cache and check if the issue still exists for you?

    Thanks!

@fjarrett, I cleared the cached images and files and the hosted app data, and I’m still experiencing the same issue.

I was able to reproduce the issue. It turns out that WP Tiles is using an older version of font awesome and that their stylesheet has precedence over ours which cause all sorts of problems. I will open an Github issue to try to find a workaround.

@jonathanbardo Thanks! I’m not currently using that plugin, so I’ll just deactivate it.

Since there isn’t any straightforward solution here I will close this support ticket. People can track the Github ticket right here. https://github.com/godaddy/wp-contact-widgets/issues/42
