Hacked site and locked out as admin

  • How do you know it is hacked? What happens when you try to log in?

    Not a problem, you’ll want to log into your database and update the administrator account. Your host should be able to help you with this. The hack itself own’t matter at the moment, at least not until you log in again.. ??

    I don’t know that we were hacked but it looks like it may have happened. Situation is we left work yesterday and were able to access the admin side of our website. When we arrived this morning, we were not. There is no message on the screen – just our same website, however, the URL changes from /wp-admin to /#login-bounced, and we are not able to log in to the admin side. No screen appears for us to enter our username and password…nothing. Contacted our web support and they are stumped, saying it is a WordPress issue. Any thoughts?
