hacked, need help asap

  • Hi,

    I think my site has been hacked by a former employee. I am a relative newbie. My site is https://treetosea.org.

    I made an important post yesterday that was up and running but this morning woke up to fatal “Server Connection Error”. Can’t log in via WP admin anymore (same error message).

    HELP!

    I need clear, detailed, step-by-step instruction on how to proceed. A phone/skype call would be best.

    anyone? please?

    The most important thing to do right now is remain calm. Your site is not hacked exactly but my guess is that your database is missing.

    Do you or your host have database and/or file backups? The most expedient way to get back would be to a) backup your files and database now (as a safety precaution) and b) restore and older backup of your files and database.

    A phone/skype call would be best.
